L’Autre Saint-Jean is back this year on June 23rd, 2014 at Parc du Pélican (located between Plateau-Mont-Royal and Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie)! Bonsound Concerts is proud to join Productions C4 and Québec brewery West Shefford for the fifth edition of this festival. Presented by the Caisse Desjardins De Lorimier-Villeray, L’Autre Saint-Jean is an inclusive large-scale celebration of Québec’s current cultural landscape.
This year’s lineup is as eclectic and contemporary as past celebrations. Five great bands will perform on the West Shefford stage. The site opens at 5pm, and the first performance, none other than Alex Nevsky, begins at 6pm. With his melodies and finely-crafted poetic lyrics, the young singer-songwriter will captivate audiences by performing songs from his new show Himalaya mon amour. At 7pm Random Recipe will kick off the dance party with their energetic mix of hip-hop and electro. At 8pm, the awesome stage performer Lisa LeBlanc will play a full set for everyone’s enjoyment. Then at 9:30pm, the rockabilly king and veteran one-man-band Bloodshot Bill will present his new project Bloodshot Bill & the Hick-Ups. Finally, Gros Mené’s hard rock will close the show for this national holiday. Our loyal partner in crime MC Gilles will host the event with his trademark humour. He is also the official spokesperson for the 2014 event.
