La Grosse Lanterne, presented by Unis TV in collaboration with Bonsound Concerts, has added new artists to the second edition’s line-up. The festival, taking place in Béthanie, QC, on August 7th and 8th, will once again offer a variety of music, visual arts, good food, eco-fun and outdoor activities. Tickets for Saturday, August 8th only are now on sale.

The festival-goers who start their weekend on Friday, August 7th will be able to enjoy an outdoor screening of Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, a documentary about the late Nirvana front man and 90s rock icon, presented at nightfall by the PHI Center. The movie will be preceded by four short films, including L’appareil de la destruction by Jean-Christophe J. Lamontagne, with the participation of H264 Distribution. DJs Poirier and Toast Dawg will then warm up the Auberge area with some beats.

Karim Ouellet, Dear Denizen, Face-T, Shaydakiss and A-Rock have been added to Saturday’s lineup, and will perform alongside previously announced acts Malajube, Koriass, Loud Lary Ajust, Milk & Bone, Heat, Ponctuation and Country. Post-punk lovers will enjoy Dear Denizen’s set, a band formed in 2012 by singer-songwriter Chris Ngabonziza (NG BO). Face-T will add some groove to the event with his reggae, dancehall and electronic beats. In the evening, singer-songwriter Karim Ouellet and his catchy pop will cheer up the crowd. Shaydakiss and A-Rock will keep the fun going until the wee hours of the night with their DJ sets.

A bar, catering services and BBQ grills will be available. Tents can be set up along the banks of the Black River.
